User Guide For UnoPim PDF Generator

Unopim PDF Generator enables users to create custom PDF templates with structured layouts, dynamic product attributes, and advanced styling options.

Easily design and download professional, brand-aligned PDFs directly from the product view.

• Design personalized PDF templates with flexible layouts, supporting multiple columns and rows for clear content organization.
• Add dynamic product data to your templates, including text, textarea, images, select fields, multiselect options, and price fields.
• Include permanent text and images such as logos or taglines to maintain consistent branding across all PDFs.

• Fine-tune your templates with customizable font styles, sizes, and text alignment options for a polished, professional appearance.

To manually install UnoPim Pdf Template:

Download and Setup the Extension

• ️ Download and extract the extension package.
• Merge the packages folder into the root directory of your UnoPim project.

• Add the following provider class to config/app.php under the providers key:

Webkul\PdfTemplate\Providers\PdfTemplateServiceProvider::class,

• Register the PdfTemplate directory in composer.json under autoload psr-4:

"Webkul\\PdfTemplate\\": "packages/Webkul/PdfTemplate/src"

• Execute these commands to complete the installation:

composer dump-autoload php artisan optimize:clear php artisan migrate php artisan vendor:publish --provider=Webkul\\PdfTemplate\\Providers\\PdfTemplateServiceProvider

• Start the queue to execute directory operations:

php artisan queue:work

Log in to your Unopim admin panel.

You will be redirected to the dashboard of UnoPim PDF generator as shown in the image below:

Navigate to the PDF Template tab under the module.

Click on Add new template button to create and Generate Pdf Document.

Flexible Attribute Layouts

You can create single-column documents for minimal designs or multiple columns and rows to handle more complex layouts which is ideal for catalogs, spec sheets, or brochures.

• Static Attributes: Static content lets you embed fixed elements such as logos, headers, or legal disclaimers that appear on every generated PDF, ensuring brand consistency across all documents.

• Dynamic Attributes: Dynamic attributes pull real-time product data directly into your PDF templates, ensuring every document is accurate and up‑to‑date. Here’s how they work:

Use different dynamic attributes for mapping for pdf templates as shown in image below.

Product Identification & Descriptions:

SKU: Unique Stock Keeping Unit code to identify products.

Name: The product’s official name shown on listings.

Description: Full description of the product; usually detailed content.

Short Description: A concise summary of the product.

Product Number: Alternative unique identifier; often used for internal tracking.

URL Key: URL-friendly version of the product name; helps with SEO and link generation.

Typography Settings:

These control the visual style of the SKU text:

• Font: Choose a font family (e.g., Serif, Sans-serif) to define the style of the SKU text.
• Font Weight: Select how bold or light the text appears (e.g., Light, Regular, Bold).
• Font Size (0 – 100): Set the size of the SKU text, scaled from 0 to 100.
• Alignment: Align the text left, center, or right within its container.
• Decoration: Apply text decorations such as underline, overline, or strikethrough for stylistic purposes.

• Drag-and-Drop Field Placement: Once your layout is set, use the intuitive drag-and-drop interface to place your fields exactly where you want them on the grid.
• You can add text and textarea fields for descriptions, images for product visuals, and price and attribute fields for dynamic data display.

• Customize Styling & Background: ​Access the Styling Settings tab to select the font family, font size, and text alignment for each field, then navigate to Background Settings to set a background color that aligns with your brand.

After configuring all fields and settings, click “Save Template” to preserve your changes, and assign the template to specific products or as needed.

Generate PDF from Product View

To Download PDF Navigate to the Product Detail Page for the product you’ve associated with the pdf navigate to navigate to Catalog > Products.

Now, Navigate to the Product Detail Page for the specific product to the customized PDF template. This page provides a comprehensive view of the product’s details, including its name, description, images, pricing, and other relevant information.

It’s where all the key product data is displayed for both admin use and customer browsing.

User can see a pop of templates that has been created and then he can choose his desired template to download pdf. Templates dropdown as shown below:

Once you’re on this page, you’ll find the section dedicated to the PDF Settings, where the generated PDF is ready for download.
